From August 1 to 3, 2025, the Hermitage Garden in Moscow will come alive with the colours, sounds, and flavours of Thailand during the annual Thai Festival. Organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Russia in collaboration with Thai provincial authorities and cultural institutions, the event is supported by the Moscow City Government, including the Department for External Economic and International Relations, the Department of Culture, and the Moscow Centre for International Cooperation.
This year’s theme, “Thailand’s Diversity,” highlights the rich cultural and ethnic heritage of the Kingdom. Visitors will experience a wide range of traditional and contemporary Thai art forms, performances, and activities.
Over three days, guests can enjoy cultural showcases by artistic groups from across Thailand. The main stage will feature traditional dances and musical acts, with a special highlight on Khon—Thailand’s classical masked theatre and a UNESCO-recognised intangible cultural heritage.
Fashion enthusiasts will be treated to runway shows by both Thai and Russian designers, presenting collections that blend traditional Thai elements with modern fashion trends.
Martial arts will also take centre stage with Muay Thai demonstrations. The legendary Muay Thai fighter Buakaw Por Pramuk will make a special appearance as the festival’s guest of honour.
A Thai food court will offer authentic dishes including tom yum, pad thai, tropical fruits, and more. Attendees can also take part in cooking classes and traditional Thai massage workshops. A market area will showcase handcrafted goods, souvenirs, and artisanal products from Thailand.
The festival will be officially opened by H.E. Sasivat Wongsinsawat, Ambassador of Thailand to Russia, alongside Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Moscow City Government and Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations, as well as other distinguished guests.
The Thai Festival in Moscow promises a rich and immersive journey into the heart of Thai culture for visitors of all ages.
