Bengaluru, September 6, 2025 — The 5th edition of the International Resilience Summit 2025 was inaugurated today at the prestigious Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru, drawing a host of global dignitaries, diplomats, and thought leaders to discuss strategies for global resilience in governance, trade, and sustainable development.
The summit, organized under the leadership of Prof. Dr. A V Srinivasan, Ayush Commissioner and esteemed figure across international trade councils — including the India GCC Trade Council, India Africa Trade Council, and Asian Arab Chamber of Commerce — was held with the objective of fostering dialogue on resilience in an interconnected global economy.
The event was graced by Dr. Asif Iqbal, Hon’ble President of the Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO), and Sh. Wali Kashavi, Hon’ble Vice President of IETO, both of whom emphasized India’s pivotal role in building resilient global partnerships, particularly across Asia, the Gulf, and Africa.
The Chief Guest, Dr. G. Parameshwara, Hon’ble Minister of Home Affairs, Government of Karnataka, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of resilience not only in governance but also in public health, infrastructure, and technology. “Karnataka is leading by example in integrating technology with governance to build robust and inclusive systems,” said Dr. Parameshwara, lauding the summit’s role in bringing together minds from around the world.
Adding to the summit's international significance, H.E. Mr. Zaw Oo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to India, attended as the Guest of Honour. He spoke about strengthening bilateral relations between India and Myanmar and emphasized resilience through regional cooperation and trade diplomacy.
The summit featured high-level panel discussions, networking sessions, and keynote speeches covering a wide range of topics — from global trade resilience and climate change adaptation to digital transformation and public health preparedness.
Participants included international delegates, government officials, diplomats, entrepreneurs, and leaders from various sectors committed to sustainable development and multilateral collaboration.
The International Resilience Summit 2025 marks another step in India’s growing leadership in facilitating global dialogue and action on resilience — a theme more critical than ever in a world facing ongoing geopolitical, environmental, and economic challenges.
